My first craft fair

Hello!

Thanks Ann for setting up this new blog and a hello to anyone who is reading this.

Today I have been creating earings to sell on my soon to be webshop and also my first EVER craft fair which I am really excited about. I will add some images of my work at the moment so you can see how I am doing.

My Halloween bag bats, my mmm bag, and a possible shop front for my webshop. What do you think? Oh and some funky Kitch handmade earings.

Illustration

Hey guys these are some links to some Illustrator websites that I have been looking at today...

Last night I finished a painting for a book cover, I just need to scan/photograph it. It is a painting using quink ink and it depicts "Hades" according to the author of the book. I got to work to it as soon as I got home from uni and it took me a few hours. Once I finally finished painting I collapsed in the living room to eat dinner. You wouldn't think it but painting is incredibly hard work and it kills your back! Well I may make a video about it and post it on youtube.

I was also commissioned to do a painting, and I've heard from the customer that he absolutely loves the finished product and will be sending his payment via paypal as soon as his pay cheque comes through. I videod myself painting for several hours and sped the footage up by 5-10 times. Then I posted my videos on youtube. I think later this month I will be wrapping the canvas up and posting it to Arizona. The postage isn't actually too expensive, depending on the size, it's round about £5.

Also I'm waiting on a cd to be posted to me so I can illustrate the cover for that. It should be fun.

With uni I am just finishing a project they gave us to make two illustrations for a newpaper/magazine article. I did these paintings in quink ink too. Its a medium I've recently discovered and it's been fun experimenting with. I have just been given another project along the same lines. It's been good to familiarise myself with editorial illustration.

Right now I am sitting in a pc suit being taught how to set up a moonfruit website. Well I already have a moonfruit site, and I really recommend it to everybody, it's so easy to use, not to mention free.
